An introduction of Sencha do
On Sunday December 23rd 2018 at 1:00 pm we will have a Sencha lesson.
Sencha do is a less commonly known Japanese tea ceremony which involves the pr eparation of loose leaf teas such as, Sencha, Gyokuro and Bancha.
And although there are fixed movements in each step of the preparation, Sencha do strongly emphasizes the importance of being natural and flexible.
At the heart of the ceremony is, creating a space where the host and the guest s gather to drink tea, eat sweets, engage in lively discussions and examine va rious forms of calligraphy, painting, and flower arrangement…
Sencha do is an art form that cannot be understood intellectually. It is a st ate of mind reached through observation and hands on practice.
